My favourite family to photograph! I love that I get to shoot this family so many times a year. Maybe because Mom is one of my best friends? Likely.
This time we decided that even though there were some gorgeous fall colours out there, we were going to shoot in the small village that Karla and I grew up in. Its a super cute fishing village on Lake Erie, south of London Ontario, and directly across the lake from Cleveland, Ohio. I will be posting a little blog about the village shortly!
You can see  a beautiful fashion session with Mom here!

Karla and I have been friends basically since we were born. She is gorgeous, inside and out. Anytime she wants to do photos of her family, I am always willing to jump on that opportunity (they are all gorgeous!). This time it was all about her. She wanted to put on her wedding dress, from 8 years ago. And yes ladies, she can still fit in it! (jealous?! I am!)
We did this session with both digital and film! I am really excited to be getting out my old film camera again!

 And some on old film....

Katie and Jeff

What can I say about Katie?
- she is my BFF's little sister
- She drove us nuts when we were children, chasing us around the house and always wanting to hang with "the big girls"
- she has grown into a BEAUTIFUL young woman who can hang around with me any time she wants!!
-She met Jeff, and avid hunter, fisher, outdoorsy guy. They fell in love and now Jeff can hang out with me any time he wants to too!

We "attempted" to get some great engagement photos one evening, but sadly, the sun did not cooperate and went down REALLY fast...so all those great shots we planned in our head did not turn out so well. :( I was bummed - still am actually.

BUT....Luckily for me, these two lovebirds are SO laid back that they have not even set a wedding date yet and we are going to do Round 2 in the spring! And Luckily for them, I know my photography will be EVEN better 6-8 months from now, so they are in for some AMAZING photos!

But for now...Round 1, the shots we did get!

This was totally Katie and Jeff's idea! Love it!

Kate and Jeff...cant wait for the next session, and thanks for all your patience!

WOW! Sooo behind on updating this blog!
So lets step back to the summer and Ill get it updated!
On sunny evening in August, I had the privlege of photographing Tiffany, Mike and their little guy, Cal.  I have known Tiffany since we were kids, we used to skate together, and I am still best of friends with her older sister, Sarina.
Since both Tiff and MIke are teachers, we thought it would be cute to incorporate some books and reading into Cal's shoot!
What a cutie he is! Even though he didn't want to smile on demand for Mommy, he is cute no matter what looks he has on his little face!

Enjoy!
One of my faves, so cute!

Daddy's Boy!

 "Teacher, pick me!"

Tiffany, Mike and Cal - Thanks for letting me chase you around the yard and get these great photos!

Benoit Family

Another photo shoot with a great friend. Dawn and I have known each other since Elementary School, grew up in the same small town, and I consider her to be one of my closest friends. That being said, this session was the first time I met her husband Al! Finally! What can I say about Al after meeting him for only a few short minutes? (I was too busy taking photos of their beautiful daughter, Lillie, that I didn't get a chance to really talk with him).  Hmm...Al does not like getting his picture taken, he is a great dad to Lillie and his two older children, and he seems like a man of few words! I could be completely wrong about that one though, like I said, I just met him briefly!

We met at the beach in Port Stanley (yes, I was there a lot that weekend) for photos. And some great ones we got. Lillie is so expressive and adorable and has the same bright red hair as her momma!

I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

Dawn, Al and Family, Thank you for allowing me to capture a few moments of your life....
I enjoyed it!

I love taking photos of  people I have known for my entire life! It is amazing to see everyone grown up with thier own families!I have known Jen for as long as I can remember. We attended Elementary School together, and part of high school. I met her husband quite a few summers ago, likely at GT's, the local watering hole.
I took photos of Taryn a few months ago at the first Tutus and Capes in the Park mini sessions. Taryn was my first client of the day and she rocked it! You can see more of her right here!

Jen asked me to take some photographs of her entire family. Some were at her home in Port Stanley, and some were at Erie Rest Beach. It was a fun evening! Taryn rocked it again, love the beach photos of her!  I managed to get a LOT of amazing profiles of her as she was too engrossed in the activity to look at the camera! These kids always know when we WANT to take their pictures and how NOT to look! Either way the photos turned out great ( I think) and I hope this family loves them. ♥

Enjoy!

Jen & Family, thank you for letting me capture some special moments. I hope you enjoy these photos for years to come!

Had an amazing morning with this family last week! I have known Kathleen since we were little kids, we went to elementary school together, and figure skated together. I have known her husband Jeff since high school. So I was elated when Kath asked me to photograph her family of 5!! And when she chose Port Stanley Beach as the location - even better! One of my favourite places to go! I have been dying to do some beach photography as I had some new editing styles I wanted to try out.

I love these photos, and this family! They remind me of a perfect summer morning.

The boys were getting a little distracted! But overall I think they did great at getting so many photos taken!
 What gorgeous boys!

Kathleen, Jeff and the boys...THANK YOU for allowing me to take your family photographs! It was great to be home at the beach and photograph some familiar faces! Enjoy!
